Amirhosein Kalateh, born in 1998, is an Iranian filmmaker, film editor and producer. He is studying M.A. in Cinema studies and earned a Bachelor of Computer Engineering (B. Eng.) in 2022. He participated in several film productions and workshops including the Iranian Youth Cinema Society Filmmaking workshop in 2019. He started filmmaking from his senior years with low-budget short films. His two last short films, “Waken” and “The Hand” have been screened and selected by several international film festivals, and earned national and international recognition such as nominations and awards for best film, best screenplay, best actress and actor and sound design.
Currently, he is working on his next short film.
